Melissa Mitchell (ARAD RTS) - Principal - Ballet (RAD), Performance Modern and Jazz
Melissa grew up in the beautiful leafy suburb of Bilgola Plateau beginning her dance journey at age 4 with Sydney Festival Dance Academy. The commitment towards her dance and natural ability lead to a move to Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy to pursue her career as a professional dancer. Melissa studied at the world renowned Zurich Ballet School, Switzerland, then travelled countries throughout Europe and USA dancing with Vienna Festival Ballet Company as a professional dancer and soloist.
It was only natural that life after dancing landed Melissa countless roles as a teacher and choreographer, continuing her passion for dance and bringing her much happiness and success. Esteemed roles include Head of Dance at Bilgola Plateau Primary School, a senior teaching position at Brigidine College, St Ives for the last 5 years & co-ordinator and principal teacher of Barrenjoey High School Dance Program, Avalon. More recently Melissa has taught at various Northern Beaches dance schools before being handpicked to run the Junior School at the prestigious Conlan College, Turramurra, one of Sydney’s leading schools in dance.
Melissa’s students achievements have been testament to the hard work and passion she shows for dance. Eisteddfod results in recent years have had many well respected choreographers commend her on her high levels of energy and imagination. Australia’s rock eisteddfod of 2008 saw Melissa’s entry of Pittwater High School receive many accolades and awards for it’s originality and creativeness.
Looking into the future Melissa is now focusing all the above mentioned knowledge and energy into Dynamite Performing Arts to develop it as one of Northern Beaches leading dance schools. Melissa intends on maintaining the schools enjoyable and fun loving culture whilst offering the opportunity for dedicated dancers to also one day follow in her footsteps as a professional stage performer.

Hope Beckett - Ballet(RAD), Modern and Level Jazz
Hope studied Ballet and Modern with Amanda Clerke, and Jazz before leaving school to study Ballet full time with Tanya Pearson. After obtaining the highest marks for all her major exams Hope travelled overseas to persue a career in clasical dance.
In Germany Hope graduated from the Hamburg Ballet School with a Diploma in dance, anatomy and music. Hope also toured through Europe performing many Ballets and contemporary pieces under choreogropher/director John Neuiener. Hope completed her teaching training at Ecole, again attaining the highest possible marks.
Adele Kahler - Performance Jazz and Modern
Adele Kahler has been dancing and performing for more than 15 years, studying ballet, contemporary, jazz, musical theatre, hip hop, tap, singing and drama.
Adele completed Brent Street's Fulltime Classical/Contemporary course, where she was mentored by Sarah Boulter.
2008 saw Adele graduate from Brent Street’s fulltime performing arts course in 2008 where she received her certificate 4 in performing arts and continued to further her dance knowledge under the guidance of Matt Lee, Marko Panzic, Cameron Mitchell, Kelly Abbey, Jacquie Howard and many others.
Adele has performed on various television shows, music video clips, movies, charity events and corporate functions. Some highlights include the So You Think You Can Dance performance with Macy Gray and Kaz James, So You Think You Can Dance 2010 commercial choreographed by Matt Lee, Mardi Gras 2009 after party performance with Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Tina Arena, MTV music awards, Nickelodeon Kids choice awards, the “Muscial Theatre send-off” with Toni Lamond and John Paul Young, “Prince of Thieves”/“The Next Step Live” at Metro Theatre, multiple performances on the Kerri Anne Kennelly Morning Show, Micky Green "Begin To Fade" video clip and was also lucky enough to perform in the “Olivia Newton John & friends” concert this year supporting Guy Sebastion, Paulini and Olivia Newton John herself.
Recently Adele successfully auditioned for Cirque Du Soleil and has been shortlisted for future productions with the company.
Rachel Bourne - Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern and Boys Funk
Rachel has studied dance form an early age, receiving her Certificate IV in Performing Arts at Urban Dance Centre in 2008. Some of the more notable credits include performing on channel 9’s The Kerri-Anne Show and performing at Carnival Sydney (The Choreographer’s Ball). Rachel started teaching at Dynamite in 2009 and looks forward to sharing her knowledge to our beautiful students every week.
